There is a just too much of this kind of stuff showing up! I support my President but he is NOT Jesus Christ and I am tired of the comparisons! Here is the latest.
The painting is titled "The Truth" . Currently on display at Boston's Bunker Hill Community College Art Gallery.
The artist says the painting was to be in a mock voting booth for people to view privately and then interviewed to express their own views but since he cancelled his original showing, it is now displayed there.
Michael D’Antuono, the artist, said he received 4,000 emails "mostly from the irate Christian Right who misinterpreted the art as blasphemy" “The crucifixion of the president was meant metaphorically,” he continued. “My intent was not to compare him to Jesus.”
