In season 1 of their hit reality series, “Mary Mary,” top selling singing siblings Erica and Tina Campbell left fans wondering if they were breaking up.
They survived and are back together for a second season, but the question is for how long? In light of their hectic careers they have been contemplating calling it quits for a while.
Said 38-year-old Tina, who gave birth to a son in August, “It is very challenging to have two very filled lives that are very individual lives. It can be very challenging trying to maintain one unit that’s like a marriage when you’re already married.”
Erica vaguely offers, “Change is coming. . .”
In a recent interview Mona Austin addresses their potential split, the show and what it is like working with the man who replaced their long-time manager Holly Carter, Mitchell Solarek. (Scroll down to listen.)
Off screen, congratulations are in order for the ladies …
Last week Mary Mary added two more Grammy nominations to their list of honors for “Go Get It,” in the Best Gospel Performance and Best Gospel Song categories, which was co-written by Erica and Tina and their producer, Warryn Campbell.
Additionally, according to a press release, Mary Mary also received a CableFax Award for their show, “Mary Mary,” in the faith-based category for Best Show or Series, which is a first for any gospel artist.
And lastly, along with Kirk Frankin they will co-host The Stellar Awards in January.
