A rep for Central City Productions, Inc. shared that the Stellar Awards which celebrates Gospel music has definitely switched dates, however they are undecided if it will remain in Nashville, TN.
The Stellars originated in Chicago, IL in 1985 and has has taped in several different cities including Atlanta, Houston and New York.
Central City Productions CEO, Don Jackson, announcing earlier this year that the Stellar Awards had made changes to its eligibility criteria.
To be eligible for a Stellar Awards in the past, the eligibility for entry was from July 1 of the previous year to June 30 of the current year. Now, for the 2014 awards the eligibility will allow projects released between from July 1, 2012 until September 30, 2013.
Additional eligibility information includes:
The Stellar Awards Executive Committee has decided on the following criteria for project eligibility:
1) The project must have been released during the eligibility period (July 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013).
2) The project must be sold and played nationally.
3) The project must chart in the TOP 25 for at least four weeks on at least two of the Nielsen Charts (Billboard, SoundScan, or BDS).
4) The person submitting the project must be a member of the Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy (SAGMA).
