An iconic New York City landmark known for hosting music and sporting events looks to be on its way to becoming the new home of Georgia megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar's Manhattan congregation.

The Paradise Theater, which opened in 1929 at 184th Street and the Grand Concourse in the Bronx borough of NYC, was recently acquired by Dollar's World Changers Church of New York, according to the New York Daily News, citing the Riverdale Review. The theater has been described as a "baroque-style masterpiece" by The New York Times.

WorldChangers Church of New York (WCC-NY) was founded by Dollar and wife Taffi Dollar as a non-denominational church in 2004. Its 6,000 worshippers meet on Wednesdays and Saturdays at various locations in New York City.
