After suffering a health scare that landed her in the hospital, NeNe Leakes is updating fans on her status. As previously reported NeNe was recently hospitalized and flooded with well wishes from fans. She declined to clarify what was ailing her and instead simply posted a photo of the IVs giving her fluids.
Now the the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is telling fans that while she’s currently at home resting, doctors discovered blood clots in her lungs.
“Late last week I wasn’t feeling well and was feeling a little short of breath,” wrote Leakes on her official website. “I know my body and I know when I should be concerned so I went to the hospital to get checked out. After some routine tests I was diagnosed with blood clots in my lung. I’m told this happened to me because of the constant traveling around the country that I do for my job,” she added.
She then thanked her doctors and nurses who aided her and dispelled reports that she suffered a heart attack.
Miami, FL--NBA star Dwyane Wade is taking his story of fatherhood to television, looking for some laughs.
The Miami Heat guard has sold a comedy show to Fox, through Sony Pictures Television — and oddly enough, it’s the story of an NBA star who gets full custody of his two young sons. With a working title of “Three The Hard Way,” it’s the first television project announced by Wade’s ZZ Productions, a company that bears the initials of his sons’ first names.
“I will be involved,” Wade said. “I’ll be very involved.”
Many details have not been announced, including who will play Wade in the show.
Wade was awarded custody of his sons in April 2011, ending what was a long and often-vengeful fight with his ex-wife. The couple was divorced in 2010, though some legal matters between them remain unresolved.
Wade said the idea for a show came to him while he was working on his book “A Father First,” which was released in September 2012. Wade, who is represented by CAA, said he went before television executives and pitched it himself.

New York, NY-- In an unlikely battle of sequels, “Thor: The Dark World” squeaked by ”The Best Man Holiday” at the box office.
Disney’s “Thor: The Dark World” continued its box-office reign with $38.5 million in its second week of release, according to studio estimates Sunday. Opening 15 years after the original “The Best Man,” Universal’s “The Best Man Holiday” opened strongly with $30.6 million.

New York, NY – As if we need another movie about slavery, however a remake of the groundbreaking television miniseries “Roots” is in the works at the History network.
The network said Tuesday that it had reached a deal with Mark Wolper, whose father, David, made the 1977 “Roots” miniseries, to acquire the rights to remake it. The project is in development, meaning there’s a possibility it won’t be made, but the commitment makes it likely the new series will appear some time in 2015.
The first “Roots” series was a television sensation, gripping the country with its story of generations of a slave family.

A Mississippi-based minister, inspired by the Obama White House’s anti-obesity efforts, is trying to purge his flock of fried chicken.
“Fried chicken has mysterious powers,” Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church pastor Michael Minor told WMC-TV.
While he helps members his congregation go through the process of signing up for health care through the Affordable Care Act, Minor is banning the “mysterious” bird from all church events.
“People are healthier, [they have] more energy. Their weight is down and once you get the weight down, you want to keep it down,” said Minor.
The poor health of his parishioners was the main motivation for his stand against tasty but fattening food.
“It was so bad, I was having a funeral every weekend,” he said.
